Futsal
Futsal was born in Latin America during the thirties. Its name is a fusion of the words « futbol » and « sala ». In 1978, the name ‘futsal’ became official, and FIFA established the official rules. The sport hasn’t stopped growing since, in Latin America as well as in Europe and Belgium.
Thanks to the efforts and motivation of one of the members, BGS decided to create a new activity, futsal, in September 2011. The history of this activity led to the development of a mostly male team. Our futsal players meet once a week on Mondays to train and play together under the leadership of Cristiano.
Since November 2023 a women's team has begun to develop. BGS sees an opportunity to bring them together for sport and socialising in a secure and convivial environment alongside their male teammates. We are still looking for new members at all levels.
