The swimming team of Brussels Gay Sports is a group of people from many nationalities getting together in Brussels to enjoy their favourite sport.
Following the core values of BGS, our swimmers not only follow 90 minutes of trainings according to their level, but also have fun and feel comfortable in a community where they can be themselves.
Swimming in an LGBTQI+ friendly environment helps people get together, make new friends and stay in shape.
Our BGS swimmers participate in various tournaments organised by LGBTQI+ clubs in different cities in Europe and in our own Brussels Games every two years, contributing to the visibility of our club abroad, as well as welcoming our friends to Brussels making them feel at home.
Since April 2023, we have created a new group called « BGS All Stars ».
The goal is to welcome former and new members who are interested in swimming and for whom the social aspect is important - those who want to be part of a sporting community created by and for LGBTQI+ people, but who are less interested in getting swimming tips and improving their swimming skills.
If you are interested in joining us, send an email to swimming@bgs.org and fill out the following form: BGS All Stars Swimmers.
We hope that this new group will strengthen the social side of the team and expand the swimming offer to the entire LGBTQI+ family of pool enthusiasts.
